From 07/06/2016 the Balearic Local Government has enacted a green tax to be paid by all tourists either in hotels or vocational rental. It is called Ecotasa and it has to be paid on arrival in order for owners to declare it to the institution in charge. The fares are 1Euro or 0,50cents for more than 9 days from april to october, and 0,50cents or 0,25cents for more than 9 days from november to march (youngers below 16 years old don't have to pay it)
